this restaurant while walking around The Square. It's located on the train track side near the GWTW Museum. The menu offers a good variety of crepes. Saturday night is Gourmet Night and reservations are required. I hope I can get my friends to join me for lunch or dinner. I'm looking forward to posting a review on Le Cafe Crepe soon.

The Strand started as a movie theater in 1935 and operated as such until 1976. Ownership changed hands a few times over the next 67 years. The theater was vacated in 2002. The community rallied, a nonprofit group formed to restore The Strand, and it reopened in December 2008. Follow this link for more details on the theater's history.

Old Zion Baptist Church was established in 1866 by freed slaves who left First Baptist Church in Marietta where they had been slave members. Their first place of worship was an area set aside under trees, a brush arbor. Later, they built a wooden structure near the arbor, but that building was destroyed by fire. In 1888, this brick church was constructed. It is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.
